When you have many small pieces of fabric to press, it can be very annoying keeping an iron hot and ready. Also great to have handy when you want to press something and you don't want to wait for your iron to get hot.
We stabilize the wood using resin, cook them and then turn each one by hand on a lathe. This makes the wood heat resistant, and stronger than unprepared wood.
You will love the comfort of our ergonomic design and likely find it is your go-to tool for just about every project. Watch the video, that is within the product images, to see why our pressers are so popular and how we make them!
It works very well I was surprised how well it works I’m going to enjoy it
This tool is excellent and lovely. It presses a seam as smoothly as an iron and also works perfectly on paper. I liked it so much that I purchased one for my daughter-in-law who is learning to quilt.
First, it is lovely. Such amazing quality. It is literally a piece of art and I will need more just because they are pretty. I've been using it to create framing around some quilt labels that I add to quilts that go to our troops. Because the print on the labels cannot be ironed, I turned to the wooden presser and it's doing a beautiful job flattening those seams without putting the required labels at risk. I also make cool ties for the troops and used the chiseled edge to safely poke out the inside corners and make them neater than I had in the past. I know there will be many other uses and I highly recommend them. Thanks Clare for a beautiful, functional product.
I bought this about a month ago and I find I am using it all the time. My favorite use is in the mitered corners of my bindings. Using this wooden presser makes a very crisp mitered corner. I am also using it to press seems as I sew them right at the sewing table rather than get up and iron.Watch Claire Rowley’s video on binding to get clear instructions on using this tool. It has really saved my mitered corners.
I am amazed at how beautiful it is. Oh, and it works so well too. Thank you
